Phthisis Diagnostics has commercialized E-Sphere® Stool DNA Extraction Kit, with several additional products under development. Phthisis’ areas of focus are nucleic acid extraction and molecular diagnostics.

Nucleic Acid Extraction from Difficult Matrices

E-Sphere® Stool DNA Extraction Kit
Obtaining high quality nucleic acids from some samples types can be difficult.  Phthisis Diagnostics has released its first, E-Sphere® Stool DNA Extraction Kit.  The E-Sphere® Stool DNA Extraction Kit is the first product in this line and extracts DNA from stool samples in a fast and easy-to-use method.

Molecular Diagnostics
Detect a variety of pathogens in a sensitive, simple DNA-based test.  Look for the release of our first product in this line in 2013.  The first product will detect Cryptosporidium and Giardia from clinical stool samples, providing sensitive and accurate results.  Additional diagnostics for other infectious diseases are also under development.
